Hey! No one said anything about bring partners. I thought this was a blogger's meet.
The rest of us are all coming alone without support and from what I can gather, for some of us it's going to take a little courage too.
If some people are going to bring their partners it doesn't seem quite right to me.

I'm sure I'll be OK, I wasn't really concerned about me. I just had a memory of a particular office party where everybody went alone except one woman whose husband who didn't work for the firm and hardly knew anyone always turned up as if he couldn't trust her to be out by herself with the rest of us.
It totally changed the feel of the evening as everyone felt they had to watch what they were saying for fear of either leaving him out or offending him.
I'll keep my thoughts to myself in future, sorry.

I will book a reservation on the weekend.
I was one of those girls at her husband's work party many years ago and I have never forgot how I felt - hence, I try to make everyone feel comfortable.
