Manchester Blog Meet Update

We shall meet at either the Sangam restaurant or the
Lal Qila Restaurant Rusholme both are highly recommended and I shall let you folks decide which one you prefer.

A final decision shall be made by November 1 as to which restaurant we shall meet at. The time for the blog meet will be from 12pm sharp to 2pm.

I will be leaving Manchester shortly after 2pm as I need to scarper to the train station to go onto Liverpool.

Any thoughts?

Who is coming? I need to know some numbers as I will need to make reservations for lunch.

    Sweet pea, can you please tell me how to get to the Sangam restaurant, pretty please? Is it easy to travel on the bus to there?
    
    One blogger will be arriving by coach (I think that means bus) and I will be arriving at Manchester Oxford via train from Keighley.

      From Manchester Oxford Road station, walk down onto Oxford Road, cross over the road, turn right and go to the bus stop that's there. Take any of the following: 41, 42, 43, 46, 142, 143 and ask for Rusholme.
      
      The bus will take you straight down the road to Rusholme and Sangam is the first restaurant there, on the left - big pink sign outside. You'll know you're nearly there when you pass the Manchester Royal Infirmary, then a Varsity pub, Caffe Nero and Blockbuster, all on your left.
      
      The coach station is on Portland Street, I think, and there's a bus stop on the main road there from where you can also get any of the above buses.

    It's a theoretical yes as I'm not sure if I will be able to have both days off in a row. If I can, I'm there. ALthough I have no idea where either of those places are. Could be a problem. Judging by those two links one of them sounds like it may be a little further out the way which might not be too good for getting there (taxis etc - expensive!). Ask Row *poke*

        I would be interested to know the best way to get to the restaurant too. I passed through 'curry mile' on a 'magic bus' before...yes that really is the name of the bus company
        Time being short though, I will probably just jump in a taxi. if anyone is at the national Express coach station around 11.35 then they can hitch a ride with me in the taxi free of charge
